Repair Café -
The freely accessible Linkebeek Repaircafé sessions are focused on working together with you, repairing all kinds of items that you might otherwise throw away. All in the cause of combating excessive consumption. Intended for everyone, the Repaircafé is the perfect place for making social contacts and enjoying new experiences.
Starting from this season, each Repaircafé session will be accompanied by a GRATIFERIA between 2.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. This is a non-commercial market where everything is free. The items are donated by the visitors, who can also take away any objects that might take their fancy. So bring along any possessions you no longer use or come empty-handed and take away any items you think you might need.
8 categories of repairs are available: Electrical – bicycles – minor carpentry jobs and toys – sewing – sharpening knives – jewellery – computers – notarial advice.
If you do not have anything that needs repairing at the moment, you are always welcome to drop in for a cup of tea and a nice cool beer, while chatting with your neighbours and acquaintances.
The monthly Linkebeek Repaircafé is held on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Moelie community centre, Sint-Sebastiaanstraat 14 in Linkebeek. The dates for the Repaircafé + Gratiferia are:
